2013-11-09 プラクティス予告

Dear all,

I'm sorry I'm late in announcing the next practice theme.
This is my first time so I couldn't decide it until now...

++++++
Date: 9 Oct. 2013
Genre: Discussion
Title: The best place to be (re)born

Description:
A birthplace determines too many things in our lives but nobody can choose it.
If we couldn't be born in countries like Japan, it might be difficult to access foods, jobs and information.
However, I believe you don't think anywhere is good to be born in Japan; some people like big cities and others prefer countryside.
And there are disparities (格差) and discriminations (差別) , even in Japan.

Please exchange opinions for following two questions in a group,

- Where do you want to be reborn?
- Where is the best birthplace for your children?

You can choose any places in the universe as long as you have clear reasons.

In the last 10 minutes, I'd like representatives to share COMMON ideas in a group and some interesting points in a discussion.

++++++

I hope you will enjoy it ;)

Best regards,
---
Atsuo Inoue

2013-11-23 プラクティス予告

Hello 京都NHK ESS members.
I am glad to announce the contents for the practice on Nov 23.

Genre:Speech
Title:Challenge “One minute speech No.2”

This practice has come for the first time in a year.
At real talks, you need to response swiftly to keep a conversation going, having no time to
translate what you are thinking about in Japanese into English.
Let’s train your output power in a talk.

Here is the process.
1. Make groups with 3 or 4 members in each group.
2. Each group has 20 topics listed on a sheet of paper.
3. The first speaker chooses one topic from the list and speaks anything about it for one minute.
Then the second person speaks about the same topic.
Next, the third person follows.
4. After all members finish speaking about the first topic, the second person picks a new topic
and starts the second round until all members finish speaking.
5. The third person continues the same process.

Do not think the matter seriously but speak promptly anything you think of.
Please keep talking as much as you can for a minute.

I expect you will be good kind of tired on your brain after this practice.

Thanks,

2013-11-30-プラクティス予告

Hi, everyone of Kyoto NHK ESS club

I once forwarded this information last night but it was through attachment and accordingly
I fear that someone cann't open it.
Hee is the second nonattached information with the same contents.
Thanks.

This is to announce the practice of November 30th to be held by Simon Nakamura
Discussion about
Marriage, including International Marriage before and after

1) Some lessons
a) Get correct usage of “to marry” and “to get married to”
b) Learn the proverbs

妻を娶らば 才たけて、身目美わしく、情けあり ==Translate into English
結婚は人生の墓場だ ==Translate into English
Marry in haste and repent at leisure ==Translate into Japanese
2) Raise 3 basic points for you to decide to marry

3) How do you think about “Same-sex marriage”
Can you accept the world-wide prevailing trend of Same-sex marriage?
Is the same-sex marriage acceptable in Japan ?
If not, what factors do you think ?

4)Can you accept straightly the decision which the supreme court decided on the inheritance rights of illegitimate children ?

5)Can you accept Hague Convention on the Civil Aspect of International Child Abduction ?

The practice may be a little long but I hope you will enjoy the matters in relation with marriage.
Unless otherwise, divide the themes to 2 or 3 occasions.
