What's New at Kyoto NHK ESS?

Hello, Kyoto NHK ESS members,

Welcome to the second half of the online practice on Saturday, December 13.
In this practice, through quizzes on Japanese history, geography, and common sense,
we check how well you can guide overseas tourists.

A total of 15 questions were prepared in these areas. The questions and answer candidates
were written in English, and each question was expected to be answered within two minutes.
Therefore, it is necessary not only to check knowledge about Japan but also to have quick reading ability.
I hope to have a good time with all of you.

Remember to have paper and writing materials ready before you start the practice.

Prospects of 2026で、公と私の2側面から、2025年を振り返り、2026年の抱負・
見通しを話し合う予定です。
1月17日　新年会、お寺での活動はなし
1月24日　お寺で通常の活動
1月31日　お寺での活動はなし、別の場所を確保して会を開く予定

あと3月まででは3月21日もお寺を使えない日となります。

Title: Recollections of 2025 and Prospects of 2026
Genre: Discussion
Presentation
I’d like you to discuss the recollections of 2025 and your hopes and prospects of upcoming 2026. And in so doing, I hope you first to pick up and write down main 3 topics of 2025, public and private respectively.
Next, 1 to 3 topics in 2026, public and private respectively. So first I hope you all to write down some topics on a paper.
Public means mainly social topics on mass media and so on. Facets of this
are presented below.
Private means your personal matters like family matters, matters with your friends, anyway things on your daily life. Of course if you don’t want to speak it, you can skip it.

Procedure
1) Write down 3 public topics in 2025 and 3 private 3 topics on a distributed paper (1 or 2 topics are okay)..
2) Also write down your prospects of 2026, public and private.
3) Make several groups and each group will have a group leader.
4) Discussion under the coordination of the group leader.
5) At the end of this corner, each group leader will present the discussed topics with the paper presented.
